Gallinula Chloropus

It's Thursday again so a walk through Queen's Park with my spaniel pals was the order of the day. Both Poppy and Mia were in a hurry, frustrated, I think, because I wouldn't let them off the lead. The ground is saturated after all the recent rain and I was trying to keep them as dry and clean as possible.
We took our customary walk round the large pond and then ventured up to the small pond where someone was throwing bread for the gulls and ducks so there was much frenzied activity. I caught sight of this moorhen sitting among the reeds at the edge of the pond - too good an opportunity to miss!
