Over . . .

Everything is looking very autumnal these days, the year is definitely on its way out, but at least the sun is shining.

Last walk with Ollie and Scratch up on the cliffs this morning as Scratch's owner came back this afternoon. Still very windy and heavy rain this afternoon too as I drove to the airport to pick her up. We're all sad to see Scratch go home, she is a very engaging and lovable little dog and we've enjoyed having her to stay, but it will be good to be just the three of us again!

As I said yesterday, there are only two dozen folk here in the village and one of them is now in Aberdeen having suffered a stroke. Everyone is pulling together, looking after his dogs, keeping an eye on his house etc. It's time like these you are glad to be in a small community . . .
