Apple Eye

Does anyone else think this looks somewhat menacing? I walked into the school kitchen between our classrooms and this was staring at me from the counter top. I found it rather disturbing but my co workers didn't see anything creepy about it. I DO! Maybe I have just watched too many scary movies but I think this looks really rather threatening! I can't decide if it's going to get me or if I should beware of what rendered it to the state it's in but whichever it weirds me out!
