Little stranger

I'd been asked to take some photos at the Mother and Toddlers Party in the village today. I said I would but couldn't promise them anything special.

I took LOADS......as you do.... but I'm pretty unhappy with the majority of them.

What was the problem you may ask.......lighting.....big hall.....horrible lighting ....meaning horrible high ISO.....I hate not having sharp photos.....especially kids portraits......I want the eyes bright and the focus sharp. :0(

It was quite hard to catch the kids (I did want to get natural candid shots)

The flash is a no no.......I really don't like the on camera flash, and my speedlight is only little and wouldn't stand a chance in that hall. (although I didn't use/try it......maybe I should have.) They are having another party on Monday......I may go along again and see if I can improve.

I am actually gutted, I wanted to please all the mums with shots of their kids, I hope they didn't have high expectations! thank god it wasn't someones wedding or something like that! I could never be a professional......LOL!!
