Too Long To be Vague,When There's Something to Say

Ooooh Spooky Halloween.

So me and beloved left straight from work and went to the pictures, rather than hide in a darkened house from Guisers!

That being said of course, in some areas of Ayrshire, Halloween is designated as "The last Friday of the Month, which technically means it was last week. I tried explaining to a class of kids once that "halloween" wasn't a moveable feast. It was "All Hallows Eve" the day before "All Hallows Day or All Saints Day", which was the 1st November - when Spirits roamed the earth .....

But blah blah, my historical knowledge was poo'poo'd by children who were driven only by a need to scrounge excessive amounts of sugar from neighbours whilsts "Trick or Treating".

Pah!!!

And anyway - if they are going to dress up, it's supposed to be SCARY, not bloody Slutty. HALLOWEEN.... Not WHOREEYWEEN!

Rant Over.

For your delectation tonight!! Look. A NEW MONICA!!!! And I bought her in Morrisons, off the "We let it get to look like this shelf" for 75 pence!! And look at her, she is lush and gorgeous and I think this might be a keeper!

And tonight film was Sunshine on Leith... It was grand. It made me smile and that is what I was hoping for. However, having lived in both Glasgow and Edinburgh I can confirm that the film was inhabited by a cast of enthusiastic Gallus Glasweigians.... I can't think of a single time I've experienced Edinburgh Folk dancing like maddies in the street.... anytime I tried it I got really weird looks. In Glasgow, happens all the time
