You remember the hallowe'en scene where the kids are all criss-crossing the street and everyone is out... that is the Shandon colonies tonight.

So many houses taking part; its weird... the whole thing has morphed from when i was a kid when it was only bad (possibly semi-criminal) children went out begging for sweets and what tonight felt like one of those happy community events where neighbours exchanged conversation and everyone was nice to the kids.

I may have given a away a little too much about my upbringing right there...
