SUNSET at the MARINA.....
.... Had a wonderful trip through South Gippsland area of Victoria and arrived late today at Bairnsdale which sits at the start of the Lakes Entrance area, in East Gippsland region. Obviously many water ways and therefore many boats. Could not believe my eyes earlier today we detoured off the beaten track as I have a habit of doing when travelling! Never know what you might see! Went down to (in Aussie slang terms) a one horse town called Port Welshpool to have a look at an historic jetty of immense length, used "back when" to load vessels with cargo. What a laugh..... When we went down a bit further to the "town" all that we found was a very large shed, a small shop, about three homes, and a boat ramp, and this was the funny bit.... I reckon anything up to 200 cars and boat trailers! Could not believe how many there were, all out fishing... I mean it was a glorious calm day after all. But, this place was miles from any form of civilization, so the fishing from there must be good!!?? Anyway, to the pic... After booking into motel, went out to a place called Paynesville, which is situated on Lake Victoria and exits to Bass Strait at Lakes Entrance. Had a lovely fish meal and decided on another sunset. Enjoy, and have look in LARGE, I did not notice there was a black swan swimming around the marina, as well.
