Cars, cars and more cars

After the Great Rant of 8th September the subject of cars, new or otherwise, has not been mentioned in this house, so when we both received emails from a certain car manufacturer about the launch of a new car I wondered who would break the silence first! Today, we 'ended up' at Mercedes World at Brooklands and made enquiries about the new model which isn't going to be available until May 2014 but they will, of course, keep us fully up to date and, by the way, if we would like to leave a refundable deposit of £1,000 we can have first pickings!
Knowing that the red mist would be soon descending I was steered in the direction of their café to simmer down. However, this one caught my eye but at a mere £40K don't think it will quite fit into my Christmas stocking
