Sorry Maisie, when I set out to buy you a cosy new basket for curling up in front of the fire I didn't think it would be quite so snug.

A good day today - morning spent in Costa coffee with three friends I haven't seen for ages and afternoon spent with my buddy Alison in the rather wonderful Bookstop Cafe on Steep Hill (if you're ever in Lincoln I can highly recommend the tea, the gluten free carrot cake, the very friendly staff and the huge choice of reading material).

To top it off I finished the best book I've read in ages - Jude Morgan's Indiscretion (a very witty and hugely entertaining Jane Austenesque romp).

Get me, two recommendations in one blip!
