Simple Joy
We woke to what looked like a cold damp fall day. The wind was howling, the rain was misting, and the temperature looked raw.
But when I opened the front door it was almost balmy. There was a hint of tropical fragrance in the air. The heavy weather was definitely from the south.
My attitude did a one-eighty and my spirits picked right up as we jumped into our Friday domestic routine.
Upon arriving home as I walked across the drive I was drawn to the simple joy of colors and shapes on the black surface.
I'm always amazed at how much beauty there is ... sometimes lurking right under my feet.
