Old friend
This is Mr L. He is one of my oldest friends and also a travel buddy. We became friends early on in high-school and have remained good friends. By random chance we found out (due to discovering an 'order of service') that we were christened at the same service as babies!
These are some things we have done thus far in life:
1) Got lost in Venice in the fog at about 1 am in the morning
2) Been told off several times for laughing in the library at high-school (the kind of laughing when your belly hurts, you are crying and you just can't stop)
3) Floated down the Rhine in a coach near Koblenz in Germany after the driver drove the coach off the road (we were rescued by a tractor and featured on both the TV news and in the paper as a result)
4) Got flown back from Prague first class after I got food poisoning
5) Experienced a man jumping over the balcony (in Greece) and enter the bedroom of our holiday flat through the exterior sliding doors into the bedroom. We were both just waking up and he proudly stood at the foot of the bed and shouted "I've got breakfast" (holding said food items in his hand) before realising he was in the wrong room.
6) Been very successful members of a pub quiz team "The Leakest Wink" euurrgghhh I know the name is not too imaginative
7) Spent the entirety of the Eurovision song contest (it's long!) on the phone to each other as we weigh up the contenders
8) Stumbled in the complete dark along a corridor to get in a goth bar in Brussels only to be sat near to a narcoleptic who we were initially concerned for thinking she may have left this earth mid-drink
9) Age 14 sat outside during most of a very rocky ferry crossing from Ostend in the darkness and the driving rain because I was feeling sea sick
10) Enjoyed post-mortem palm reading chats in Southport back in the 90s
