Autumn Colours | Northumberland

I couldn't believe my eyes when I checked the weather forecast last night. What with more stormy weather predicted, there was a 1 hour window of... nothing. No wind, no rain, no cloud. Perfect. Stood on the edge of Bolam lake, the clouds were already over head, but I knew it was clear to the east. The sun rose and through the haze of building clouds it grazed the autumn trees with its golden light for all of 2 minutes, then it was lost behind the clouds of the coming weather.
