Our rain gauge

The river (The Allander Water) runs through the grounds of our supermarket. At this fish ladder, it is an excellent rain gauge showing just how much it has rained over the past 24 hours.

This shot was taken in seriously pouring rain and water was coming into the supermarket, pouring down through light fittings. Not a good day.

But I have seen the water much worse in the river and I suspect that by tomorrow it will be much higher. (And hopefully by tomorrow, Tesco will have cured the leaks and have dried out!)
