Forrest Place

Didn't realise that the Pride Parade was on in the city today as we headed off for our usual Saturday lunch.

It soon became obvious when the main street leading to our favourite carpark was blocked off and hundreds of people were streaming along the footpaths right towards where we were heading! Of course we had to take a long and slow detour to get to it from another angle grrr.

Finally ridding ourselves of the car we headed into the city centre for lunch. On the way past Forrest Place we noticed a big group of people starting to build something with cardboard boxes but we didn't take a great deal of notice at that point.

After lunch we headed up to the Apple Store for a quick play with the new iPads and iPhones then dilly dallied around with lots of photo opportunities all the way back.

Lots of good things to see and do and so many people out and about on this lovely 30 degree day! Summer has arrived, and it will be 36c tomorrow and no, I'm not really ready for that!!

By the time we walked back past Forrest Place much later this whole structure had been built up from cardboard boxes. It looked quite fascinating against those old buildings behind.
