Castlerigg stone circle

Today I've been running in the Lake. District, Glenridding to be precise, the weather was atrocious, heavy rain, strong winds and freezing cold.
In fact the race. I was supposed to do was cancelled so we ran a 10 k instead, probably just as well, really.

Anyhoo three hours after finishing I am only just warming up after a hot shower at the Netherdene guest house, Troutbeck, it's a delightful little B and B and our room is very nice.

We're off to the White horse at Scales for our tea, some real hearty cumbrian home cooking.
