Hofgarten

This is the view from the Hofgarten, a little park next to the Residenz towards Theatinerkirche ..... this view always manages to cheer me up........

In this very Hofgarten it is said that one of the revolutionists in 1918 (!!) said to King Ludwig III, who was taking a walk ..... (and the Hofgarten was always open to the public..): 'Majesty, wouldn't you like to go home? We wouldn't want that something happened to you, would we??’ ...... revolution in Bavaria....





Thank you so much to you all to my 'good bye' blip from yesterday - you are such a lovely bunch! I can only emphasize - it's not such a heartbreaking farewell - we'll see each other very soon again...... thanks again for the nice comments! ;-))
