BONFIRE FOOD
Busy busy day . . . one of several bonfire displays this weekend will take place tonight. Time for food - so I put on my female side and created bonfire buns on a bed of cinder toffee.
Actually the first toffee was a disaster - only fit to break your teeth - so there is a recipe that works easily is below - just in case you feel adventurous !

RECIPE :
Prepare a 20 cm square tin by lining with baking paper
200g caster sugar in a deep pan
4 tablespoons Golden Syrup
Heat on low then boil for about 3 minutes until mixture turns darker brown
Whisk in 1 tablespoon Bicarbonate of Soda
Turn into square tin and leave for 60 minutes
Break into small pieces. Enjoy !
