The legendary Saltersgate Inn. Pickering2Whitby

Chasing the light. As half past three approached I knew I had only minutes to capture the light on the end wall of the old Saltersgate Inn. The Inn is derelict and fast failing as the winter weather advances. The building is no longer weathertight and if another year passes without a salvage plan this building will be no more. There has always been a coaching Inn at this location for several hundred years. It will be an historical and social disaster if this building is allowed to decay and disappear. Is there anyone out there with the money and the vision to rescue this building?
