Halloween
It was hard to choose a photo today! During the day we crossed Strangford Lough and headed south, first to Inch Abbey which is a ruined abbey near Downpatrick, and then further south to Dundrum Castle, another medieval castle. Pete was particularly keen to see Dundrum as it was the subject of a Time Team dig - unfortunately as there were no interpretation boards apart from a basic one at the entrance, and no visitors' centre, we couldn't really work out what was what and what had been done! But we will try and watch the Time Team episode again and maybe learn from that instead.
In the end though I chose this picture from the evening. Pete's parents arrived today, and we all got together at Mount Stewart which is a National Trust property not far from where his brother lives. They were having a Halloween event, an 'Enchanted Garden', so we all met up there and had a wander round. I particularly enjoyed the 'goblins' and their drumming.
