Some early fireworks this year, so there's me sat at my open kitchen window with my camera on bulb setting with a stopwatch and a remote shutter release. I can't help wishing for a bit more gaudy colour from Bath's festivities in general. Soon the Xmas lights will be switched on (by Saint Mary Berry this year) and, as always, they will be elegant, but with no colour, and a bit boring.
