All I have done today is read the paper, watched some motorsport and done some woodturning.

These two pieces are made from one piece of Laburnum cut down the centre.
They are hardly perfect - and never will be - because the wood had split whilst drying (it came into my possession that way) and the glue I have had to pour into some of the cracks to prevent it falling apart during turning has still left voids and stained some bits.
But at least I have something with a bit of character.
