Owl Butterfly
Visited the Butterfly Rainforest at the Florida Natural History Museum in Gainesville today. This is an Owl Butterfly, in the genus Caligo, known for their rather large Eyespots which look, strikingly like Owls' Eyes. This unusual Butterfly is found in the rainforests and secondary forests of Mexico, Central, and South America. They are fruit eaters, their favorite being Bananas.
