Waiting for something
The definition of Queue, according to one of the online dictionaries is 'A line of people or things waiting for something'. I'm guessing with pretty much 100% coverage of mobile phones now these telephone boxes on Edinburgh's Royal Mile must be waiting for someone to use them pretty much constantly. The only thing they seem to get used for is for people to have their photos taken in pretending to be using a payphone. Who else remembers the ridiculously short amount of time that you used to get for your 10p?
