These shoes were seen abandoned a while ago - they were lying separately on the grass alongside my route to the bus stop.

A couple of days later...
Here they are - neatly reunited and placed beside a tree in full view of passers-by.

How kind of someone to pick them up (all dirty, damp and possibly smelly) and place them in a more appropriate spot, hoping they would attract the attention of their owner. I was hopeful their owner would be glad of their return but after a few days they were still there.

Walking further down the road, I spotted a pair of brand-new childs' socks.
Once again they were placed in full view - hoping for the attention of the owner.

It made me smile to think of random acts of kindness but I'm still wondering if the socks and shoes ever made it back to their rightful owners...
