Football golf - Hubby had his eye on this from the very beginning and was very excited to play today. The course led us all around the park and initially the kids were very enthusiastic but their concentration started to wane (as it was quite cold and the balls were pretty hard). Daddy however was very focused as he showed off his football skills...until he got a little carried away and curved his ball around some trees... and straight into the lake! Oh how we laughed (as well as a family out for a cycle who stopped to watch) when he had no choice but to remove his shoes and socks and wade into the freezing water to retrieve the ball, so although the photo isn't great I had to blip it for the memory!

After a late lunch and a rest we all went for a cycle around the park - Dex insisted on going on his bike and it was very sweet watching as he managed to keep up with us and then we ended up at the soft play for another epic play. I snook away early to set up a Halloween trick or treat activity at home. The kids were super excited when they arrived at the door with Daddy and he handed them a Halloween bag each and they had to hunt for the chocolate eyeballs, chocolate pumpkins and creepy crawlies!
