And the Beet goes on

The sugar-beet that is!

The beet harvest took place this week and now it's all piled up at the side of the side of the fields waiting to be taken to the Zuckerfabrik just a few kilometres away from here in Warburn.

Have to confess; I don't really know much about sugar-beet and what they do with it once it gets to the factory but the farmers grow a lot of it round these parts.
