Porty people
I have this habit of going to bed with R4 on and waking in the middle of the night with the World Service. This it was last night and I woke at 4.30 and eventually had to get up because the boiler was still on, noisy.
When I got up for good at 9 it was such a beautiful, sunshine making the leaves remaining on the neighbour's trees glow with amber and copper. i do love having a garden.
A leisurely breakfast and then Y and G headed off north to Inverurie. I thought about doing some gardening, taking in the perlagoniums for the winter but they are still flowering so well and i wasn't really in the mood.
It was so lovely, cold and windy but sunny so I headed off for Portobello and a walk along the Prom. It was cold but busy. Many dogs and children. I have strong family connections with Portobello and i was trying to work out where my great great grandmother lived. The views acorss to Fife and down to North Berwick were lovely. A beach so close to home. Shame it's not 30 degrees.
I then drove to Fisherrrow and back home.
Time for a mid afternoon rest and now this evening more fireworks and last night's 509 anniversary programme from the National Theatre. It's been a good wek-end.
