Great Tit

The feeders and bird bath were busy with Blue and Great Tits this morning, it was so lovely to watch them enjoying the sunshine. Hopefully the Long Tailed Tits will come back later in the season.

On 'the tree' front, it has been cleared from my garden, but when I asked the tree surgeon if he was going to tidy the hazel nut tree that has been knocked sideways by my neighbours walnut, he bluntly told me he had the contract with D to clear her walnut tree and if I wanted him to give me a quote he would come back at a later date - hell would freeze over first. He then said that her son would reinstate the fence that had been broken by the tree - yeah right, two branches from the walnut stuck in the ground holding a three foot high panel and some corrugated steel to cover the nine foot gap they made to get into my garden in the first place! He told me the bearing rails and shiplap 'are rotten anyway', I've checked today and they are as solid as when they were put up. Why do I get the feeling that I'll be paying to have the fence mended and the hazel nut tree seen to? Gripe over!
