Custard Apples

We had these several years ago on a visit to Australia, and I recall they tasted very good. However, another shot at them today (2 for £2.50!) and they were not so great. Big stones in them too, spread throughout the fruit, not just in the core: see them in the picture.

Maybe all those years ago somebody carefully picked the stones out for me.

However, just seeing the custard apples again gave me a smile at the Australian memories.
