fishies
We've been on a trip to London today to meet up with my Brother, Sister in law and Niece. We met up at lunch time, and had a picnic in the shadows of the London eye.
There were bat lights hanging from the trees, that actually looked like bats, and a bubbling cauldron with spell making going on. I think there was also a witches school in part of county hall!
We hadn't come to see any of that though, but were heading to the London Aquarium to see the fishies! When we arrived there was a bit of a situation with tickets and entry...I won't dwell on it here, but it was thanks to my tenacious sister-in-law that the situation was resolved. The children really enjoyed seeing all the different fish swimming about. The big sharks and beautiful turtles were a huge highlight. Miss Pink loved the seahorses and spent a long time watching them dart about. We found some very unusual fish, some shaped like sticks, some like leaves, and tiny eels that looked like worms sticking out of the ground. My niece amused us with impressions of fish, squeals and her lightening speed runaways! She's VERY fast!
After the aquarium and a quick dash through the gift shop, we walked along the southbank to Giraffe! to have dinner together. There were some great things to see just walking along to the restaurant though, and some great smells from the street food festival. we had a yummy tea at Giraffe! and the kids and B enjoyed being together for a little bit longer.
A great day. And lovely to spend the day with family.
