Remembering

It was beautiful this morning, so I decided to hike in Hoyt Arboretum with Prise. I needed a quiet place to reflect.

Earlier in the morning, I learned my friend Sydney's daughter had been murdered by her ex-fiancé. Casey was only 26 years old. I met her a few times. She was a sweet, vivacious, compassionate young woman. She loved animals - horses to be more precise. She loved life and now that life has ended so tragically. I feel incredible sadness for Sydney and all those that loved her. Please keep them in your thoughts n the coming days and weeks.
