Children
We are told child exploitation is a big problem here in Cambodia. I'm pleased to say I've not seen it as yet but have seen many very happy children during our first days cycling with many shouting hello as they realised we were passing through. Marvellous!
Today has been a long day. Up just after 5 breakfast just after 6 and away from hotel at 7:30 for a short coach ride to pick up tickets for our temple visits and then on to pick up the bikes.
All the bikes seem pretty new and perfect for the job.
Don't know how far we cycled, wasn't as far as I thought we would and certainly moving along at a steady pace is a great way of creating a breeze to cool yourself down.
We finished our cycling by 11 and made our way to our first temple. Crowded with tourists but interesting to photograph and see all the same. The picture of the little girl was taken at the temple.
Our hours visit quickly passed and we had a fine lunch at a local restaurant. I must say the food has been very nice so far.
This afternoon we trekked up a path that could easily be a waterfall it's that hard to walk up, to see the source of the local waterfall. Though not a big drop it was still impressive seeing the stone works to the gods along its course.
Got a nice hand held shot of the waterfall at an 8th but the picture I posted won.
Time to meet the group for a walk to another local restaurant for our evening meal.
Thank you for reading my blip and for any comments that get posted. I do appreciate them.
Bye for now :-)
