Who Needs Fireworks?

A shaft of sunlight lanced between two houses and lit up the top of this tree like an exploding rocket, the spread of branches adding to the effect.
The free display of autumn foliage we get at this time of year may not have the detonations we have become accustomed to, but the visuals last for weeks, not seconds.
