Blackbird
She fluttered in and spent some time on tubs planted with flowers at our front door. And then she hopped into the dense Pyracantha that grows up beside the door. She was almost invisible there, ignored me staring in at her from about 12", and remained there while I and my wife continued gardening just a few feet away. Eventually she popped out to eat some of the berries that still litter the ground.
There she posed for this picture - seemingly unafraid of me. Then she flew off.
I suspect she is old, I wonder if she has some slight injuries, and she didn't look too well. I hope she is alright. She shared her company with us and made the afternoon the more memorable.
