Celebrations and farewells

Today was a happy and sad day...

Not much happened during the day - mainly because my charges (CJ and Pixel) conspired together to ensure I was cleaning up after them all morning.

However, mid-afternoon we headed over the J&B&I's for a farewell dinner before they leave for NZ. We arrived in time to give the kids their dinner and then it was a joint bath and story time before bed time.

Once the kids were asleep, it was time for a lovely adults dinner and chat. But all to soon it was time to pack CJ into the car and head home

Despite the fact this will be the last time we see them for a while and we will definitely miss them, it was a perfect way to spend my birthday.
