Foreign Invader?

This ladybird was on an Angelica flower this afternoon. It was very active and difficult to photograph. The image has been severely cropped to bring it closer.

I can't recall seeing one like it before and did a internet search. It closely resembles one variation of the Harlequin ladybird (Harmonia axyridis), which is regarded as one of the world's most invasive insects. I didn't find any information about its incidence in New Zealand, other than a reference to Brown, P.M.J. et al, 2011, who say that Australia and New Zealand are at risk of invasion.

Any thoughts, anyone?

Edit: Not a Harlequin, but a form of two-spotted ladybird, which is common here. See comments by mollyblobs and sgwarnog.
