Columbia River in the rain

Today was a really long day. I drove 300 miles out to eastern Oregon in the rain and snow, got my work done, then drove back the 300 miles in the rain and snow. I barely had time to get this shot before sunset. I am totally shot now.

I am so amazed at all the different "faces" of the Columbia River Gorge and valley. As the light changes the river changes, the colors of the gorge or valley change - the whole mood changes. I am really hoping that before I leave the area on Wednesday, I can get some brilliant sunny shots. So far, it has only been cloudy and rainy shots.

Thank you all again for all of your wonderful comments on my Oregon shots the last few days.
