On the BC Ferry

It took us most of the day to travel from The Gulf Islands to Seattle today. Our usual ferry was damaged in Saturday’s windstorm and out of service for awhile and apparently there was nothing that could be used as an alternate so everyone headed for Vancouver has to to go East to Schwartz Bay (near Victoria on Vancouver Island) on the small inner island ferry such as this one, the Mayne Queen, and then turn around and take a super ferry back West to Vancouver on the mainland. I’m on the super ferry Coastal Celebration just as it’s about to leave and I see this mountain with a spotlight on it on a very cloudy day! I had no idea one could see this from this spot - Mt. Baker is in Washington State. But there it is!
We were safely home earlier than we might have been with our regular ferry and we beat the rain! Actually it was a very pleasant day in the PNW!
