The Doctor's Waiting Room, TLC, Cambodia

Our local partner, the Lake Clinic, otherwise known as TLC, is a primary healthcare service which is taken by boat to floating villages on the vast Tonlé Sap Lake to the north-west of Cambodia.

This photo shows people waiting to be seen by our team on The Lake Clinic - definitely a bit different from our waiting rooms here in the UK!

The people who live and work on the Lake and its tributaries are among the poorest and most vulnerable in the country. The nearest healthcare available to them can be several days' journey by boat to reach. Unsurprisingly, disease and needless disability are rife.
