Appian Way near Rome

Took a couple of buses out to the Appian Way which is a Roman cobbledstoned road south of Rome. Hired a couple of bikes and headed of the 11km road on which there is a number of ruined Roman buildings including a couple of Catacombs. A bumpy cycle with some great views. Visit the Catacomb of San Callisto which has over 12km of catacombs. Back to Rome and a night out in the very busy area of Trastevere were we had a great pizza in the busiest restaurant ever, then onto the busiest bus no H which could only mean Hell as everyone squashed in.
