Flying High

How it makes me feel, sun in the sky, it really is for real.

I thought that there would be no let up from the cold mist of November today, but I caught this glimpse of flying above the clouds and suddenly remembered it's always sunny if you look for it.

The sun sometimes does have it's hat and coat on but it's always there working hard to keep us moving. Looking at this view whilst I was freezing down below reminded me of an old favourite song of mine.

It's lyric teaches us much of what we forget in everyday life, and means many things to many people but it reminds me of how nature has a way of working things out.

The song starts, the sun the moon the stars they make the wind blow. It took me 20 years to understand.

Let's hope it doesn't take me another 20 years to appreciate all I've learned.

Maybe it takes some of us a lifetime to appreciate everything around us, but there's lots to be enjoyed if we just look a little below the surface and explore.
