Walking through Plean Country Park

Ever since our beloved spaniel died I no longer walk regularly.

The plan was to get another dog but now that we have got Taz we have grave misgivings how he would take to a dog.

He would go off in a huff.

So today I joined our local walking group run by Anne Williams of St Saviours church.
“Do you have to be a member to join?”
“ No,” she assured me “ we welcome all.”

And they do.
Although I have lived in this area for over 30 years I had never visited this country park, a hidden gem, before.

We spent two hours walking through Plean Country Park, former site of coalmines, ending up with lunch in a local garden centre.
