Silver Lining & Smoke

Living on a schedule of tablets meant I was awake for a pre-sunrise shot this morning. I thought I would give my regular Konica Minolta 75-300mm 4.5-5.6 D lens a trip on the A99 and gave it a poke out our window. Imagine my surprise when I saw the Raw files and found they were uncropped! I really thought my little "Beer-barrel" would be an APS-C sized lens but I got a full 24mb RAW with 6000x4000 pixels (the max the A99 pumps out). I tried my 50mm 1.8 a while ago and only got a 10mb result. I'll have to double check this but maybe you don't need to completely lens-up when you move to a full frame monster.

Large is better I think.
