Still life with brushes.

I took this shot to try an illustrate to one of my students that it was not necessary to go very far to seek out an interesting composition. Fortunately the sun had chosen its moment carefully and was casting a strong beam of light onto the brushes which created strong shadows as a result.

I have to say that I think the contrasting tones and textures that can be seen has ended up working rather well.
