A very wet bird day ..

It was absolutely pouring and very cold as I headed off for my bird class.

The rain stopped but it remained dull all day - not great for photography.

We saw quite a lot of good stuff - whooper swans, green wood pecker, sparrowhawk and this kingfisher ..

I generally stay out all day even though bird group is only the morning. Someone comes for a couple of hours in the middle of the day so I know mum is checked on and has company ..

Except I got home to find Sara hadn't been, and remembered she said wouldn't be coming this week. Ooops! Luckily mum was absolutely fine!
