Comfort food

A lovely apple crumble for tea, made with Lancashire apples and transported from the other side. I did take a shot of it cooking but was too ashamed by the state of the inside of the oven to post it!

A perfect day for comfort food: wet this morning but dry and very cold this afternoon. Having sat dealing with spreadsheets for far too long at the end of the day, I drove home in the dark surrounded by fireworks going off in various parts of the city. And they are still going off several hours later.
