The view from the office

My office looks out onto the 4th floor of the library.  I'm a long way from the nearest natural light :-( but I am just inside one of the two entrances to the library so there is always a lot going on :-).  Although not the outside world the area outside my room is airy with a very high ceiling.

You can see a chair and a table directly outside my room. Students often hang out there and discuss all the things students discuss. The librarians are usually at work behind the desk you see in this picture.  Students or teachers who need technical/pedagogical help often drop in to my office as they go by, rather than phoning or e-mailing.

All-in-all a lively place to have an office, which suits me.
