Mellow Yellow

DDW's November Challenge Day 6: "Mellow"

Today's challenge highlights the power of music and advertising since the first two things that popped into my head when I read the word 'mellow' were 'yellow' thanks to the song Mellow Yellow by Donovan and cigars which I'm sure are anything but mellow but the advertisers have convinced me that they are.

Anyway, there were no cigars in the house but plenty of yellow things. Actually, this mask (less than £2 from an art shop) is white but I coloured it yellow in Photoshop and added the eyes and lips to differentiate it from the last picture I took of it. £2 well spent.

Great evening last night with Mick and Coral. Bezzerwizzer has the potential to be a pretty good game BUT, we must have an American version because so many of the questions were rooted in American history, culture, politics etc. Biggest laugh of the evening was courtesy of Coral. Food & Drink question for 4 points (maximum score possible). 'What pudding do the British traditionally eat with roast beef?' Oh crap thinks everyone around the table. 4 easy points. Not worth buzzing in to try and steal the question. 'Apple Pie' responds Coral. We all crack up. She realises that she must have answered incorrectly so changes her mind. 'Trifle' she shouts, at which point we all fall off our chairs laughing. The correct answer was of course 'Yorkshire Pudding'. See what I mean about the questions being aimed at an American audience for whom that might have been reasonably challenging. Maybe Coral has a bit of American in her :-)
