Night at the museum

An evening visit to Blists Hill Victorian Town for their firework display. The fireworks were good, although the distinctly non Victorian pop music through the PA before and after was unexpected given that the museum is pretty strong on authenticity and attention to detail. I thought about how a stalwart Victorian might react and decided that attacking the PA with some sort of implement whilst shouting 'This monstrous cacophony must be silenced' would be fun but probably not go down well. The highlight for me was seeing the town part of the site lit by gas lanterns and the various shops open at night - this is the printers shop.
