Late autumn

Have been taking lots of photographs of the signs of autumn recently, but there's a wee acer in our back garden which is still really quite green.

Mum's birthday today, and somehow didn't manage to capture a portrait on the day. She's off back home again tomorrow, so it will have to be Christmas now.

And, as you do when you've celebrated two birthdays in one weekend, we sat down this evening and worked out our menu for Christmas day!
